Autumn trend, changing of the leaves and celebrating our students with top offers!

When leaves begin to fall, temperatures drop and days become shorter, it can only mean autumn is on its way. No matter how hot the summer has been, the next season of the year is now upon us with home comforts, bronzed woodland hues and a pumpkin or two.

Autumn Colour Trend

If you’re eager to stay ahead of the curve, following the runways from New York, London, Milan, and Paris, you can expect to see some surprising colors in the mix. Aside from the usual autumn suspects we can never get enough of (think camel and merlot), colour pops like vibrant orange and hot pink (even popular worn together!) and every shade of purple and pistachio have been seen.

Trend Haircuts

Autumn hair embodies chic, clean sophistication and people give it a little more attention. Your vibe can be playful, edgy, or even ruffled by a hat and scarf, but ultimately your hair this season will require and deserve a little more effort. This season sees shorter lengths and sleek side swept bangs…

Wade is extremely passionate and a true hair artist. Here we get to know a little bit more about him and see his exceptional work..

Tell us a little bit about your hairdressing journey? I started at Garbos as an apprentice when I was 17. I have worked and trained alongside many amazing educators, stylists and colourists, all of whom have provided me with a life time of creative influence, knowledge and skills for my own artistic expression. For this I am eternally thankful.

What do you think makes Garbo’s unique? Having worked with Garbos for 18 years. I have been privileged to have seen the journey of the salons and its services evolve along side the brands Sebastian, Sassoon, Wella & Olaplex. What makes the salon unique is the team of creative talent, each having an individual style and repertoire of skills to bring to the table. Garbo’s provides a pool of highly trained staff, each striving for the highest degrees of creativity, perfection and self development in a contemporary salon environment.

How do you feel; about the hairdressing industry today? I feel the industry is at a point of daily change where there is no such thing really a “trend” anymore. The internet allows people access to a broad variety of styles and hair dressing techniques from many walks of life, Providing new inspiration, influences and ways of thinking. This gives people more freedom in how they wish to express themselves. Clients lead the way these days with high expectations, and are way more open minded to push their own boundaries.

What inspires you? I am influenced by so many things such as music, architecture, science, nature and modern art. I see things from a futurists standpoint. I am captivated by visions of our future and where things will lead. I love to help people push their own creative side of freedom and expression, I like to transform people and create looks that evolve with the clients daily lifestyle. I see the role as a collaboration of ideas between the stylist and the client to create a piece of living modern art.
